Maybe this is where I began to have this fear of sharks, which is not really a good thing for a lifeguard instructor to have. I have never seen a shark in the ocean, either from a boat or while I was swimming. Yet, I am afraid of sharks.

I yelled out to my family, “Sheep down” which let them know there was trouble in the pasture. Immediately we sprang into action and began to help Olive with her very severe wounds. We loaded Olive and her twin sister Manna into the old stock trailer and headed for the on-call night veterinarian

Walking around my yard with three sheep following close behind while viewing the morning sun hit the snow-capped Bitterroot Mountains of Montana is a joy of mine. When the morning sun hits the Bitterroot Mountains and they begin to glow in the bright colors of a sunrise I am filled with the daily hope of light and life. My pets, Manna, Olive and Deena seem to look forward to their shepherd stepping outside and taking them on their walk.
