Wednesday Bible Blurb Northern Lights 10 9 2024
Around 10 P.M. I started getting messages to go outside and look at the northern sky. Nothing. The moon had set, it was dark, cool and windless but I saw only the blackness of empty space with the twinkling of stars in the Montana sky. 11:45 P.M. and again I was told to go outside and look at the night sky. The light show was glorious, shimmering beams of colored lights waved their tentacles of brilliance across the dark Montana night sky. Colors of pink, purple, blue, red, crimson, yellow, green and gold worked their way across the heavens. God’s northern light show was in full view. “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.” (Psalms 19:1 [NKJV]).
On this dark Montana night, God’s glory shown forth across the sky. Spectacular is the only word which comes close to viewing what God created in our night sky. Jesus the creator of heaven and earth in all its beauty and “without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (John 1:3b-5). The heavens truly declare the glory of God.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gen. 1:1a). “Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.” (Gen. 1:3). “Then God said,’ Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night:’” (Gen. 1:14a). “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.” (Gen. 1:31). The Northern Lights also called the Aurora Borealis was created by God and indeed it is very good!
Most of this world believes the creation came from nothing. All that we see just randomly happened and evolved from nothing, no guiding mind or thought, nothing. How does one get anything from nothing? It takes more faith to believe in evilution than to believe a guiding power with mind and intellect created this universe. God spoke to Job about this and was very forceful in His tone. Read, listen and think about what God truly did. Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:
“Who is this who darkens counsel
By words without knowledge? Now prepare yourself like a man;
I will question you, and you shall answer Me. “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” (Job 38:1-7).
Do we shout for joy as the angels did when we behold the creation of God?
Do we understand how little we are and how BIG God is when we behold His creation?
“Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, Or loose the belt of Orion? Can you bring out Mazzaroth in its season? Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs? Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth?” (Job 38:31-33).
Do we bow in humility when we see how great the creation of God is? Do we look on in wonder and awe at every little item God has made? Or do we cower in fear and disbelief from our wonderful mighty creator? God’s glory and creation are so evident that no one is excused from missing what He has done.
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools (Those who believe in evilution) and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore, God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” (Rom. 1:18-25).
The heavens declare the glory of God. The heavens declare in full view of all who would see, His magnificent creation. The Northern Lights also called the Aurora Borealis declare the glory of God and His creation.
