New Covenant Church of God
The Church of God is a new covenant church. All doctrine and belief of the Church of God is to be based on the new covenant teachings of Jesus Christ and His apostles. The original covenant given at Mount Sinai was replaced on the first day of Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Are You A Theologian?
Whether we have thought about it or not we all are theologians. We are either striving to understand God and His great commission of preaching the gospel to the world, or we have made a theological decision to not follow God. Both are theological decisions.
Did Jesus Preach to the Demons While in the Grave?
A question occasionally arises because of a misreading of I Pet. 3:18-20. “Where did Jesus go during the three days after he died on the cross? Did he go to hell to get the keys from Satan? And if so, why would it take three days?”
Shepherd Stories: The Voice
Jesus, our Godly shepherd knows us and we know His voice (John 10:14). He is the good shepherd willing to give His life for us (John 10:11).
Cheese and Crackers
When it comes to our faith, are we a “Cheeses” or a “Crackers”? Do we have the FAITH to stick with the family God has called us into, or do we long to return to our old neighborhood like Cheeses did?
Second Passover Service
Some men were defiled from a dead corpse, they were unclean and could not participate in the regularly scheduled Passover service. Moses then inquired of God what to do.
New Covenant Law
God is putting His law into our minds and our heart. Under the Old Covenant the law was commanded. Under the New Covenant, the law is what we want to do, so He can be a God to us and we can be a people to Him.
Predestination
Is every single thing that happens in this universe controlled and planned? Is mankind pre-ordained to either live with God or be subject to death by the Almighty God without a choice in the matter?
Romans 13: Obey the Government
Since the dawn of humanity there has been conflict between citizens and their government. Thus, war is the major topic of most history books. Should we as Christians obey the government of our country in all things?
Romans 14:2 and Christian Food
Apparently, some in the church held the belief only vegetables should be eaten. We often see this in today’s society. Vegetarianism is a big deal to some church groups. Vegan is a popular diet.
